North Curl Curl in Sydney’s northern beaches is completely surrounded by parks and sea cliffs, automatically giving it a feeling of seclusion. Sand dunes conceal the low-rise suburb behind, to the effect that you might mistake it for Fraser Island (if you squint your eyes). The broad lagoon further reinforces this idea. This is one of the few off lead dog beaches in Sydney and you will often see these “good boys” herding children around the shallows.
