It’s widely known that the Great Ocean Road is exposed to some serious wave activity from the Southern Ocean, but this section (from Angelsea to Bells) is home to a protected reef marine park, which is why Point Addis is so consistently calm. It makes for one of the friendliest spots to swimming along the coast, and an ideal beginner surf spot. It’s also worth visiting just to take in the dramatic backdrop of crumbling sandstone cliffs.
